Szeriouszly? Aside from looking like an airmail envelope (Magyar Posta), there is a whole lot of crap in the flag. Maybe some of it could be edited out? Like for instance: there’s one spot with a red fish on a blue field, one spot with a white fish on a blue field and one spot with two white fish on a blue field. That could probably be condensed a little. Maybe a fish symbol with a X4 next to it? Then there’s a lobster or crayfish. If it’s a lobster (not known to be native to Hungary) that’s just showing off, and it could probably go.  Then there are a couple of mammals for good measure: a deer and a bear. Lots of botanical elements too: The dead tree trunk could go with no regrets. Two clusters of grapes, some corn or wheat, and what appear to be hops and an oak branch. Add in some hunting gear – a bow and a quiverful of arrows, and some stripes, along with a couple incomprehensible sections, and you have a whole lot of crap on this flag.

It might hold the record for the flag symbolizing the most stuff. I know the Magyar language is agglutinative. Some sentences can be represented in one really long word. I didn’t know that Hungarian flags were also agglutinative.

  1. Looks like you know your Magyar. Are you Hungarian?

  2. Partially.

  3. My first impression was of an airmail envelope too.

  4. Are you sure this is a flag and not a find it puzzle?
