Some organizations should just give up the idea of having a flag. Beside the IMF headquarters, where does this flag fly? Does it require lendee nations to fly it above all of their banks? Is it used in capture the flag competitions against those jerks at the World Bank?

The color is a poor choice. More reminiscent of tomato soup than money. I would have considered gold or silver. The two hemispheres of the globe and leaf look like two bug eyes and a smug smile.

  1. Maybe current events have shed some light, it could mean almost always in the red.

  2. Reminds me too much of the “Terran Empire” flag of Mirror Universe Star Trek

    (helps being a vexillologist and a Trekkie 😉 )

  3. What _is_ that colour?

  4. Argh! There’s something in my cream of tomato soup. Wait. It’s just a logo.

I hate these symbol-on-a-flag flags. It’s making a flag just because they can not because it would look nice or anything.
